Understanding MBA Accreditation

Institutional recognition, business-school accreditation, and membership are different facts.

Three questions get mixed together. Who is allowed to award degrees in that country? Does a business-school body such as AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS accredit the school or the program? Is the school merely a member of an association?

A yes to one is not a yes to the others. University-wide institutional recognition does not prove that a new online pathway, or a teaching partner, is inside an AACSB or EQUIS scope. Membership badges are not the same as accreditation.

Names and dates matter. Record the body, the entity covered, and the page where you saw the claim. This directory does not treat any one international accreditation as a condition of being listed, and it does not claim that recognition in one country creates a right to practice or to enroll in another.

Primary places to check a claim are the school’s own accreditation page and the accreditor’s directory.
