MBA vs Executive MBA

Executive MBA is not a protected worldwide title. Schools usually mean a program aimed at people who already manage others, often with a higher experience expectation and a schedule built around work. The degree awarded is still commonly an MBA, but you should read the exact title.

An executive label does not by itself mean the program is online, part-time, or more selective. Some executive MBAs are campus block programs. Some online MBAs expect as much experience as an executive program and do not use the word executive.

Compare the published experience rule, the share of the program that is synchronous, residency, and whether the fee assumes employer payment. Do not infer salary outcomes from the word executive. This directory does not estimate pay.
